It's crackdown time for this Ferret Challenge business. I really need to go over it/fine-tooth comb it. I also need to go to the salon because it's been over two weeks and I'm starting to feel like crap every time I look into the mirror and see the big rag-doll mop of hair on my head which some people are uninformed enought to call "curly".
Help.

Yay. There's now about 2000 words written for my Ferret Challenge submission. : ) I had about 4000 written, but then, I began editing..and then about half of them were gone. That seems to be the way it goes when I write. The story needs about another 5000 words to wrap it up. After editind..that'll be around 2500-2750 words. Is there a limit for the Ferret Challenge. I didn't see one..except for the 1000 word minimum.. Oh well, we'll see : )
Wish me luck.

Life has been crazy hectic lately. Especicially since my allergies have been acting up again and I'm now throwing up about three times an hour. Which is not cool. But all that aside, the writing's going good, I finally got the challenge up at dmhg_ldws in its entirety, added the header, screened the comments, etc. So all I have left is to find a beta for my story at dmhg_challenge, and life couldn't go any more smoothly. : )
Aside from the puking.

Whoa. Having massive problems with your Ferret Challenge for dmhg_challenge? Join the club. My fic is so far from where I want it to be.. And half the time, I'm not even sure that what I'm envisioning is what the challenge is supposed to be. :( For example, my basic plot (and PLEASE don't let anybody have already comeup with this idea, it took long enough..) is for an older Draco, on his first night out of Azkaban, to be looking through his Pensieve that he kept safely stored..somewhere..haven't quite worked that out yet..hehe. He'll be looking through all of the happy memories he's stored..blah blah..and he only stored happy memories, because some memories are too painful or something like that. He kinda...now I don't know how this is going to work:
Either he's going to cast a localized Obliviate on himself (Can you even do that?)
OR
He's going to forcibly forget anything happy. (Those dementors suck all the hope right outta ya)
And then..he's sifting, smiling for the first time in years...blah blah..and then BAM! He dives into a memory of the Yule Ball. And he remembers how gorgeous Hermione looks and he's oh so very sad, and he tries to touch her, tries to apologize for all of the hurt he caused. But of course, its a memory, and she can't hear him.
There's a little twist at the end. : )
That's how this would go in a perfect world. However, I am having trouble putting it exactly the way I want it. Is there anyone, upon having seen the large mess this is in, that would like to beta it??
Encouragement would be appreciated, and input on whether or not this is what the Challenge is about.

Hey all.
Life has been crazily busy, what with the new boyfriend, and my parent's having bought me a new house, and having to move my stuff into it. What does one person all on her own do with 3.5 million dollar estate for crying out loud? Spend your money funding the cure for AIDS or something worthwhile. And my car is on the blitz. Parallel parking is not something you want to do in a Hummer when you can't do it in a teeny little Ferrari. Should have stuck with the goddamn Ferrari. So let's just say it hasn't been a good week. And I'm supposed to write fanfic for tomorrow, and make sure that everyone gets their submissions for dmhg_ldws in on time, and pimp the community so that we can get some more voters. Gahh, my life is really stressful. And of course now, everyone wants me to throw a big party in my new house. I might as well, I don't know what else I would use it for.
